Overview

Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Gastroenterology (12PAs); this is a substantive post to commence as soon as possible. The post will include General Adult Gastroenterology and ward cover for General Medical patients.Responsibilities

You will be joining a team of 15 Luminal Gastroenterologists.Duties include managing patients with gastrointestinal conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings.Contributing to the cover of a mixed ward of Gastroenterology and General Medical patients on a rotational basis.Contributing to the Endoscopy service as well as an out of hours on call rota for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.Qualifications and eligibility

You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Gastroenterology or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview.Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013).Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.Additional information
