To meet time, quality and cost requirements to deliver project safety ensuring compliance within highly regulated sectors and clients.Why NuviaNuvia - a subsidiary of VINCI construction - is an international company that operates across highly regulated sectors including Civil Nuclear and is recognised as having a strong presence, reputation and history of delivery at nuclear sites in the UK and internationally.Nuvia is a performance-driven company that is committed to the development of its people within a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence, and an expectation of delivering all elements of the project life cycle to the highest of standards.Reports toProject Sponsor and/or Business Area DirectorKey AccountabilitiesAble to pick up delivery (through effecting efficient hand-over) of an existing project part way through the project life cycle to continue delivery through to successful completionFor new projects launches the project and establishes effective communication routesPrepares and approves proposals and specifications under the direction of a Project SponsorUnder the direction and with the assistance of the Project Sponsor and Nominated Engineer plans, monitors and controls project costs, resources and programme across multidisciplinary teamsSupports the key technical leads to ensure relevant technical solutions are appliedUnder the direction of the Project Sponsor and Nominated Engineer supports supervising project teams to maintain required standards of quality and safetyTakes a leading role to assess and mitigates project risks.Delivers the project in accordance with the PMP.Efficient and Effective Handover of Existing ProjectsArranges and holds Review Meetings with Project Sponsor and Nominated Engineer to establish current statusAble to appraise existing information and supported with active dialogue, quickly understands the project requirements, stakeholders, project complexities, current delivery model and arrangements, risk and mitigation strategies to affect a smooth transitionFamiliarises themselves through a proactive approach to gaining an understanding of the project requirements for internal and external stakeholders with a strong focus on planning and forecasting against delivery timelinesPromotes an effective communication approach from the outset with the project and client teamsAble to appreciate and take responsibility for monitoring, review and reporting requirements (internal and external)Launches the Project and Establishes Communication RoutesArranges and holds Inaugural Contract Review Meeting and receives tender file.In conjunction with the Project Sponsor set up project team, obtain resources and mobiliseHolds project start-up meeting.Establish internal/external communication routesMaintain close dialogue with customer and other project stakeholdersSupport customer in project dealings with external agencies and customer stakeholdersHold regular progress meetings with the customer.Satisfies security requirements on the project.Prepares Proposals, Specifications and Strategy Documents (In conjunction with Project Sponsor and Nominated Engineer).Prepares Project Management PlanPrepares Procurement StrategyPrepares Safety PlanPrepares Document Deliverables Schedule.Establishes Budgets and sets up project accountsSets up WBSSets up accounting structure to suit WBSPrepares Subcontract Proposals and SpecificationsAssist in production of proposal and subsequent subcontract reviewManage production of ITTs/specifications and conduct tender exercisesAssess tender costs and performance indicators and let subcontractInclude costs in WBS and accounting system.Monitor and Control Project Costs, Resources (internal and external) and ProgrammeMaintain record of project costs and commitments, compare with plan and take corrective actionAuthorise internal and external expenditureSupport the Nominated Engineer to track progress and resource usage on programme; mitigate any deviations present or foreseenIn Conjunction with the Project Sponsor and Nominated Engineer produce periodic progress reports for customer and internal MPRsIn Conjunction with the Project Sponsor Identify and agree contract deviationsPlace contracts/orders on behalf of the project and the customer.Deliver project in accordance with PMP.Supervise Project Teams to achieve Desired Standards of Safety and QualitySets up the Construction Phase in conjunction with the Construction Function Manager.Why us?Occupational Skills and Knowledge• A qualification within either an engineering or related field.• Project Management related qualificationDuties and Requirements• Demonstrable experience in successful Engineering Project delivery, with significant demonstrable competence gained in a senior project management position• Leadership/People management skills, Stakeholder management, Communication skills at all levels across the business, Motivational and astute and unfazed at working to tight deadlines. Client focused.• Able to work on complex multidisciplinary projects with a range of technical staff, remaining agile and able to adopt as projects and client needs alter or evolve, whilst preserving and being mindful of the companies contractual and commercial positionAbility to challenge the ''norm'' to promote continuous improvement and promote the highest of standards at all timesGood communication skills with the ability to interact and work effectively at all levels with both the company and a range of clients• A full UK driver''s license
