Assistant Lawyer
To support a Industrial Disease Lawyer with file handling tasks on a mixed case load within the Military Disease department, specialising in NIHL claims (noise induced hearing loss claims) and potentially other disease cases.Key ResponsibilitiesReviewing documents.Dealing with disclosure.Reviewing evidence (including medical / personnel records/ Companies House records)Conducting investigations with Insured Instructing Counsel / ExpertsResearchDrafting generallyAttending conferences and Trials with CounselDealing with routine correspondenceLiaising directly with the Claims Handlers and Managers.Complying with Clients instructionsWilling to engage in Client development when requiredAssisting team in achieving goals and objectivesMeeting agreed targetsTo ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2011Adhere to the Keoghs ValuesSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseExperience in handling and/or assisting on disease cases.Effective negotiator.Experence in supporting Lawyers in Industrial Disease/NIHL cases.Ability to use own initiativeFlexibility in relation to tasks undertakenGood listening and verbal communication skillsAbility to maintain concentration and pay attention to detailAbility to self-organise and self-prioritiseAbility to work under pressure and to targetAn enthusiastic and hardworking individualGood level of IT skillsAbility to work within the Keoghs shared behaviour frameworkJob BenefitsDavies Incentive Plan25 days holiday per year which increases with level of ..... full job details .....
