Consultant Quantity Surveyor Sunderland Full-time, Permanent Competitive, dependent on experience Overview The organisation operates across multiple sectors offering comprehensive services including cost consultancy, project management, and strategic advisory. This role is ideal for a qualified QS with consultancy experience who is ready to take ownership of projects and further develop their professional career in a supportive and dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver cost management services throughout all project stages Prepare and manage cost plans, estimates, and budgets Lead on procurement strategies and tender documentation Administer contracts (NEC, JCT) and manage commercial risk Undertake valuations, cost reporting, and change control Liaise directly with clients, contractors, and design teams Support or lead preparation of final accounts and project close-outs Contribute to business development and client relationship management Requirements Essential: Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline Chartered (MRICS) or progressing towards chartership Proven experience in a consultancy or client-side QS role Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail Proficient in relevant software (e.g., Excel, cost planning tools) Full UK driving licence Desirable: Experience working across a variety of sectors Confidence managing client ..... full job details .....
