SEMH Learning Support Assistant Alternative ProvisionHarlow Full Time Long TermA specialist SEMH Alternative Provision in Harlow is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant / Behaviour Mentor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, SEBD, EBD, or ASD, particularly those who may display challenging behaviours.The provision supports pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education, providing a safe, structured and supportive learning environment where students can re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.About the RoleAs a Learning Support Assistant / Behaviour Mentor, you will support students both in and out of the classroom, helping them manage behaviour, engage with learning, and develop positive coping strategies.You will work closely with teachers and the wider pastoral team to support students through highly personalised learning plans and tailored interventions.Students range primarily across secondary age groups, although abilities and learning needs may vary.Key Responsibilities Supporting students with SEMH and behavioural needs in lessons and during interventions Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils and staff Assisting teachers in delivering engaging learning activities aligned with the curriculum Supporting or covering lessons when required Helping students regulate ..... full job details .....
