NHS Ayrshire and ArranThis is a full time (37 hours) permanent post, working rotational day and night shifts over 7 days in Ward 1E – Cardiology, Royal Hospital for Children.Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, dynamic and appropriately skilled individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. It is desirable that applicants have specialist knowledge and experience in paediatric cardiology. The applicant should have leadership and decision making skills and be approachable and confident. They should also be able to work within a team setting and provide safe, effective person-centred care.Responsibilities

Provide safe, effective, person-centred care within a Cardiology Ward for children and young people, with the ability to work within a team setting.Demonstrate leadership, decision making and confident communication to support ward operations and patient care.Deliver highly motivated and responsive care, ensuring high standards of practice and patient safety.Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) / Child Branch qualified with relevant post-registration experience.Proven track record in ongoing professional development.Live NMC UK pin is required to be considered for this post.Desirable: specialist knowledge and experience in paediatric cardiology.Additional information
