Assistant Manager - Mansfield

- Basic Salary: Circa £32,000
- OTE: £40,000
- Monday - Friday : 8:30am - 5:30pm
- Saturday (1 in 2) : 8:30am - 1:00pm

I’m looking for an Assistant Manager to join our ever-growing, family-run independent garage in Mansfield. You’ll need to be confident running the day-to-day with some experience in a supervisor or manager role, great with customers, and able to keep things organised and ticking along. It’s also important you know your way around car services and can talk to customers about any extra work their vehicle might need.

Key Responsibilities:

- Help run the branch smoothly day-to-day and step in for the manager when needed
- Make sure customers get great service and clear updates, from check-in to pick-up
- Spot and act on sales opportunities (like up-selling services)
- Keep track of all jobs, parts, and admin to keep everything running efficiently
- Stay on top of health and safety, keep the work space tidy, and support the team wherever needed

Ideal Candidate:

- Confident leading a team and has some experience in a supervisor or management role
- Great with people – knows how to keep customers happy and the team motivated
- Stays organised, handles pressure well, and keeps things running smoothly day-to-day
- Knows their way around car services and products
- Comfortable talking to customers about extra work or services that might be needed
