CNC Machinist

Wokingham

We are looking for experienced CNC machinist (miller) who can programme, set up and operate Vertical Machining Centres (HAAS and XYZ) using CAD / CAM software and the machine control system.

Although the role is for CNC milling operations, any prior programming, setting and operational experience Haas machines tool range will be considered advantageous.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to perform precision engineering operations
- Read and interpret drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials to complete work orders
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines or tools as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:
- Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools
- Ability to assemble components accurately and efficiently
- Knowledge of tooling and machining techniques
- Strong understanding of basic math principles for measurements and calculations
- Mechanical knowledge and aptitude for troubleshooting machinery
- Familiarity with any CADCAM is preferred
