OverviewVet Surgeon Vacancy - EQUINE VET - Hexham, Northumberland (to £55K)

We have an excellent opportunity for an Equine Vet to join a 100% Equine veterinary practice in the Hexham area of Northumberland in North East England.

Responsibilities

Full-time hours available with a 1 in 5 out of hours rota and a day off following a weekend on call.

Join an established, busy practice with superb facilities including standing MRI, scintigraphy, surgical theatre, and a 10-stable facility.

Manage an interesting and varied caseload (and growing referral caseload) predominantly leisure and semi-professional/amateur competition horses.

Role is mainly ambulatory with full access to extensive clinic facilities.

Be part of a friendly, welcoming Vet team with interests across internal and emergency medicine, imaging, and elective surgery.

CPD allowance and support to develop areas of special interest.

RCVS/VCI and VDS cover plus two other subscriptions paid.

Location offers easy access to Newcastle Upon Tyne, North Pennines, Northumberland National Park, Kielder Forest, the Lake District, and the North East coast.

Qualifications

Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent

Registered with the RCVS

Equine Vet with some experience
