Strategy Principal Consultant - Change and Transformation. This role leads strategic consulting within Manifesto, guiding clients through organisational transformation with human-centric design and digital and data at the heart. You will shape and head up our strategic consulting proposition and work across purpose-led sectors including Membership, Visitor attractions, Higher education, and aligned commercial clients.Reporting to the Strategy and Innovation Director, you will apply expertise in organisational change and change management to deliver digital and data-driven transformation, helping clients achieve measurable improvements in organisational effectiveness.Responsibilities

Client EngagementLead the strategic direction of transformation projects, working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, outcome-focused solutions.Engage senior client stakeholders (including Exec board level) to shape strategies, visions, outcomes, and priorities; help clients prioritise activities to achieve these strategies.Transform organisational strategies into design principles and operating models that drive goals in a cost-effective way; model options and weigh pros/cons.Identify cost efficiency opportunities and work with a financial analyst to model potential savings.Establish organisational transformation programmes, testing new ways of working while delivering value.Facilitate workshops, presentations, and discussions with senior client stakeholders to ensure clarity, alignment, and actionable outcomes.Strategic LeadershipHelp shape Manifesto’s organisational design propositions in the digital transformation space.Provide clarity in complex transformation scenarios and prioritise value-driving initiatives.Apply Agile, Lean, and traditional programme and project management approaches to meet diverse client needs.Contribute to the evolution of transformation frameworks and set the north star for projects.Stay informed on sector challenges, opportunities, and trends to enhance client strategies.Lead cross-organisational transformation initiatives where Manifesto is the lead, ensuring collaborative value delivery.Change and Transformation ExpertiseLead research projects/diagnostics to identify opportunities to leverage data, digital, new processes or structures aligned to client goals (e.g., digital maturity assessments, org discoveries, data analysis).Lead organisation design changes, including new structures, roles, governance models, and ways of working.Apply knowledge of sector macro challenges (funding, governance, audience needs) to inform work; consider emerging technologies like AI and automation.Guide organisations to prioritise effectively for the future and navigate cultural and operational changes to ensure adoption and sustained impact.Bridge strategy, design, and delivery teams to align objectives with data and technical implementation.Team DevelopmentMentor and coach strategists, fostering growth and alignment with Manifesto’s transformation pillars.Promote collaboration, accountability, and shared ownership within the Strategy practice.Facilitate training sessions and workshops to upskill team members in change management and transformation methodologies.External RepresentationRepresent Manifesto as a thought leader in NFP, Membership, Visitor attractions, and commercial sectors; contribute to blogs, whitepapers, and public speaking engagements.Attend and speak at events, conferences, and workshops to showcase Manifesto’s expertise.Contribute to pitches, proposals, and sector-specific thought leadership to support marketing efforts.Commercial GrowthIdentify opportunities to expand client engagements and contribute to revenue growth.Support business development with compelling narratives for transformation-focused pitches and proposals.Deliver successful transformation initiatives that build client trust and loyalty.About YouExperience supporting organisations through change initiatives, developing strategies and operating models, and rolling out new teams and ways of working.Experience driving organisational change as part of digital transformation with an understanding of how data and technology relate to transformation.Proven knowledge of change management methodologies and familiarity with Agile, Lean, and traditional programme management approaches.Strong facilitation and presentation skills; experience leading workshops and engaging with senior audiences.Ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levels and balance client objectives with viable, impactful solutions.High commercial acumen and familiarity with collaboration tools and data management systems used in large-scale transformations.Background in supporting new business proposals and pitches; knowledge of organisational design and operating models.Ideally experience in the Not-for-Profit (NFP) sector, with relevant skills applicable to purpose-led spaces; familiarity with AI and automation in transformation is a plus.Understanding of how data ecosystems drive and support organisational transformation.Seniority level
