Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and compassionate General Manager to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a 28-bed residential care home in Witney (OX28 3JG). You will take full accountability for clinical and non-clinical operations, ensuring exceptional care standards and regulatory compliance while promoting a warm, person-centred environment for residents and staff.Responsibilities

Lead and manage all operational, financial, and care-related functions of the homeEnsure full compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards, company policies, and other regulatory requirementsDeliver high-quality, person-centred care that supports residents’ physical, emotional, and spiritual well-beingOversee recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management of the staff teamEnsure accurate care planning, medication administration, and safeguarding practicesManage occupancy levels, liaise with external stakeholders, and promote strong community linksMaintain rigorous quality assurance systems through regular audits, meetings, and reportingBe a visible, positive role model, upholding the values and brand standards of the organisationWhat We’re Looking For

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent)Proven leadership experience in a residential care settingStrong understanding of CQC requirements and person-centred care principlesExcellent communication, organisational, and time management skillsDemonstrated ability to lead and develop a teamSolid IT skills and confidence managing budgets and resourcesExperience supporting residents living with dementiaA flexible, hands-on approach to care home managementWhy work for us?
