Network Management Technician - Highways and TransportationLocation: Leicester Contract: 9 months Office Presence: 2-3 days per week initially for training, reducing to 1 day per week thereafterRole ResponsibilitiesSupport the Network Coordinator and NRSWA Inspector in managing and monitoring the highway network.Assess and approve street works permits via Street Manager or Confirm, including minor permits using One Network.Collate and provide data on network activities, events, and performance.Assist with inspections, compliance monitoring, and enforcement actions.Maintain network data and ensure all processes comply with EToN standards and relevant legislation.Plot diversions and manage administrative tasks, including inbox clearing.Liaise with stakeholders including works promoters, councils, transport providers, and the public.Work within organised management processes and adapt planning flexibly as required.Qualifications and Experience NeededNVQ Level 3 (or equivalent, e.g., BTEC in Civil Engineering or A-levels) or extensive relevant experience.Experience in street works, highways management, or related administrative roles.Experience approving permits via Street Manager or Confirm.IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office and service-specific systems.Knowledge of highways legislation, CDM regulations, and highway design/maintenance standards.Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise, and flexible approach to work planning.Excellent communication and ..... full job details .....
