SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support Role

Weekly Pay: £450 – £525 (depending on experience and qualifications)

GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with pupils in a vibrant and supportive primary school in Greenwich. This long-term role, starting in September, is ideal for someone who is committed to making a lasting difference in a child’s learning journey.

• Provide 1:1 classroom support to pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and communication needs.

• Assist in implementing tailored learning plans in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO.

• Foster a positive and encouraging environment, promoting independence and confidence in learning.

• Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development throughout the school day.

• Help manage behaviour and ensure that children feel safe, understood, and engaged.

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN (in a school or similar setting) is highly desirable.

• A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to support.

• Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children and staff.

• Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo safeguarding checks.

• An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

• Work in welcoming, inclusive primary schools that prioritise SEN support.

• Weekly pay ranging from £450 to £525, dependent on experience.
