Triple West Medical have been appointed by an NHS Trust based in the Greater London to help recruit an Associate Specialist / Consultant Psychiatrist – General Adults on a substantive or FTC basis.The Trust is one of the largest in the UK with over 5000 staff, offering a range of physical and mental health services. The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and friendly department of Psychiatrists whose service includes inpatient, community services, specialist services, and emergency services.Responsibilities

Assessment of new patients and clinical supervision of assessments carried out by other team membersFull participation in the multidisciplinary teamSenior medical responsibility for the care carried out by the Community Mental Health TeamReview and monitoring of the caseload to ensure appropriate care packages are in place and discharges facilitated to maintain patient flowContribution to the continuous development of the Community Mental Health TeamDomiciliary visits to provide assessment and treatment servicesDomiciliary assessments in response to emergenciesResearch, in terms of personal projects and clinical audits as part of clinicalInvolvement in joint planning of future service developmentClose liaison with the wards to facilitate admission and dischargeRequirements
