I am working with one of my main clients, a leading full-service firm based in Surrey with a strong reputation for specialist private client work, including a nationally recognised Court of Protection team and award-winning solicitors. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a

Senior Associate

to join their dynamic and supportive team.

As a Senior Solicitor in the Court of Protection team, you will take a lead role in managing a complex and varied caseload involving:

Acting as a professional deputy or working closely with appointed deputies

Managing high-value damages awards for clients lacking capacity

Advising on all aspects of property and financial affairs under the Mental Capacity Act 2005

Working closely with clinical negligence and personal injury teams

Supervising and mentoring junior team members

Contributing to business development and maintaining client relationships

What could make you stand out?

Ideally at least 6 years''+ PQE with a strong background in Court of Protection work

Experience acting for vulnerable individuals and their families

Excellent technical knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and related case law

A collaborative team player with leadership potential

STEP or COP accreditation is desirable but not essential
