The Role

This leading law firm in London is seeking a Senior Associate to join the Construction team, a key part of the firm''s wider practice.

This is a unique opportunity for an individual with experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction law. You will be managing a varied and challenging caseload that includes drafting and negotiating construction contracts, professional appointments, development agreements, and more.

You will also have the opportunity to assist in business development, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the team''s growth. This is an ideal role for a Senior Associate with a proven track record in construction law.You''ll be working closely with a Partner who is personally recomended in the Legal 500 2025 rankings, and you will be supported by them to progress your career and develop within the team.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious construction mattersDraft and negotiate construction contracts, professional appointments, development agreements, and related documentsProvide advice and guidance in relation to adjudication, arbitration, mediation, and litigationAssist senior partners and colleagues with client mattersTake a proactive approach to business development and foster client relationshipsKeep up to date with changes in the law and engage in continuous professional development (CPD)The Ideal CandidateExtensive experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction law, including drafting and negotiating construction contracts, professional appointments, development agreements, and moreStrong drafting, communication, and organisational skillsProven ability to manage multiple matters concurrently while prioritising workload effectivelyAbility to work collaboratively within the team and delegate where appropriateStrong client relationship-building skills and a positive, pragmatic approach to work
