We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join one of our well-respected clients within the material handling sector. This is a field-based role ideal for an engineer who enjoys autonomy, problem-solving, and delivering excellent customer service. Role Overview Service, maintain, and repair forklifts at customer sites Ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably Represent the company professionally while working independently in the field Key Responsibilities Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance in line with safety standards Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults Respond to breakdown calls, resolving issues quickly to minimise downtime Communicate clearly with customers, providing progress updates and equipment advice Complete accurate service reports and maintain detailed records of work and parts used Skills and Experience Proven experience servicing and repairing forklifts or similar heavy equipment Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Confident fault-finding and problem-solving abilities Professional, customer-focused communication skills Ability to manage workload and priorities in a field-based environment Desirable Experience Background in HGV maintenance or repair Transferable skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostics What s On Offer Competitive salary with overtime opportunities Fully ..... full job details .....
