As Sales Director, you''ll play a pivotal role in elevating Challenger and Fidante’s profile as leading investment managers in the UK institutional and wholesale market. You’ll design and execute a high-impact sales strategy across a diverse range of investment capabilities, driving growth and deepening market presence. This role is all about collaboration and influence – working closely with our affiliate managers to expand and diversify their businesses, while contributing meaningfully to our institutional distribution team. Your efforts will directly support Challenger’s global expansion and reinforce our reputation as a trusted investment partner. You’ll represent selected Challenger Funds Management and Fidante Partners strategies, bringing them to life for UK clients and consultants through strategic engagement and expert delivery.The Global Institutional Development team comprises experienced business development and client service executives, located in Australia, Japan, United Kingdom and Sweden, with deep experience in all aspects of institutional investment management. We operate in a fast-paced environment that thrives on a collaborative approach aligning capability and expertise to meet and exceed client and prospect needs in a flexible manner. The team values integrity, aiming high, and collaboration.Responsibilities
Grow our footprint by identifying and securing new client relationships across the UK institutional and wholesale marketDeepen engagement with existing clients, nurturing long-term partnerships and unlocking new opportunitiesBoost visibility by maintaining top consultant ratings and platform listings – and proactively chasing new onesCraft compelling narratives – support the creation of investment analysis and client-ready materials that resonate with prospects and consultantsBe the voice of insight – contribute to client reporting through impactful presentations, updates, and QandA sessionsShape our story – coordinate the development of pitch decks, capability papers, thought leadership, and RFPs that set us apartStay ahead of the curve – conduct market and competitor research to uncover trends and strategic opportunitiesContribute to product development by generating and refining ideas that meet evolving client needsWork with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales and client initiativesQualifications
Strong background in institutional asset management salesMust possess strong existing relationships with UK Institutional InvestorsExperience managing institutional and wholesale client relationships and retaining FUM in the UK marketStrong understanding of multiple asset classes, with a commitment to continuous learning and expansion of expertiseDemonstrated success working with global asset consultants and wealth platformsUndergraduate degree in economics, finance, science, or engineeringIMC, CIMA, or CFA desirable, however not essentialAdditional information
