Contract: Long term, full time andndash; September 2025 start
Salary: andpound;163 - andpound;223 per day
Key Responsibilities
- Teach KS3 andamp; KS4 Englishandmdash;from gothic horror to GCSE revision, youandrsquo;ll make every topic sing
- Craft engaging lesson plans with creativity and purpose (and occasional puns if you like)
- Inspire students to read, write, analyse, and actually care about what an oxymoron is
- Marking and feedback£ Yes, but itandrsquo;s collaborative and valuedandmdash;no lonely red-pen marathons
- Take part in school lifeandmdash;assemblies, open evenings, dress-up days (Shakespeare beard optional)
- Support the English Department, sharing ideas, resources, and your contagious love of words
Qualifications andamp; Experience
- QTS and relevant teaching qualification
- Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and KS4 required, KS5 a bonus!)
- Passionate about literature, language, and unlocking the power of storytelling
- Adaptable, enthusiastic, and ready to sprinkle fun into your figurative language
- Strong classroom management and a sense of humourandmdash;essential combo
