Software Test Engineer We are recruiting for a Software Test Engineer to join an established technology business with a global reputation for radar and navigation systems. The role is based on-site in Enfield, with flexible working hours available. Role responsibilities: Build and test software to support advanced radar and surveillance products Produce and maintain test specifications, plans and reports Work with engineering teams to improve software testability Support automation of builds and testing Liaise with internal stakeholders and customers on software-related matters Occasionally travel in the UK or overseas to support software testing on vessels Skills and experience required: At least 1 year of hands-on experience testing Windows-based software applications (not purely e-commerce websites) Experience writing test plans, specifications and reports Experience of building software and installers is desirable Familiarity with scripting or programming languages to support test automation Understanding of the software engineering lifecycle, with particular focus on testing and integration Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach Qualifications: A good engineering degree with software content, or equivalent practical experience Personal qualities: Team player with excellent attention to detail Willing to occasionally travel for project needs (UK and overseas) Able to work permanently on-site in Enfield.
