IT Support Manager Based in Suffolk | Competitive Salary + Excellent BenefitsWe''re working with a well-established UK business looking for an IT Support Manager to take ownership of their IT service desk and support function. This is a great opportunity to step into a hands-on leadership role, managing both day-to-day IT support operations and a variety of internal infrastructure projects.You''ll be leading and mentoring a small IT support team, working closely with a managed service provider, and acting as the go-to escalation point across the organisation. Alongside this, you''ll help shape the IT roadmap, ensuring systems are secure, efficient, and future-ready.Responsibilities
Leading and mentoring the IT support team, setting high standards for customer service and technical deliveryActing as the final escalation point for IT issues, providing hands-on support where neededManaging and delivering internal IT projects (infrastructure, systems, upgrades)Working closely with suppliers and group IT to get the best value from technology partnershipsOverseeing IT governance, standards, documentation, and security complianceDriving service improvements, performance metrics, and process ownership across IT supportTaking responsibility for Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Windows Server environments, and endpoint managementQualifications
Previous experience managing and leading an IT support/helpdesk teamStrong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Windows ServerSolid infrastructure background with hands-on networking, cloud, and endpoint skillsUnderstanding of IT governance, cyber security standards, and risk managementExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across the businessA balance of technical expertise and customer-first leadership styleWhat’s on offer
