Sewing Machinist Full Time 37 Hours per WeekWe are currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable Sewing Machinist to join a busy garment production team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience operating industrial sewing machinery who takes pride in producing high quality work in a fast paced manufacturing environment.You will play an important role within the production team, operating industrial straight stitch and automated sewing machines to assemble garments and add finishing details to textile products. Accuracy, attention to detail and consistency will be key to success in this role.The RoleOperate industrial sewing machines such as flatbed, overlock and blanket stitch machinesAssemble garments and textile products in line with production specificationsFollow production sheets, technical packs and sample garments to ensure accuracyMaintain a high quality finish while working within production timeframesInspect materials and completed work to identify and report any defectsHandle fabrics and materials carefully to minimise waste and damageCarry out basic machine maintenance including threading, cleaning and oilingReport any machine faults or maintenance issues to the appropriate teamFollow all health and safety procedures at all timesWork closely with colleagues and respond to instructions from supervisorsSupport the design team by providing feedback on product construction and designCollaborate with product engineers during development stages when ..... full job details .....
