Learning Support Assistant - Year 2 - ASD & SEMH - Lambeth Primary School (Near Herne Hill Station)
Location: Lambeth - Short walk from Herne Hill Station
Start: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Pay: -90 - -105 per day (DOE)

A welcoming primary school in Lambeth, close to Herne Hill station, is looking for a committed Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil with Autism (ASD) and SEMH needs. This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about SEN support in a mainstream setting.

• Make a real difference in a child''s education and wellbeing

• Supportive staff and strong SEN leadership

• Work closely with experienced teachers and the SENCO

• Regular training in SEN and behaviour strategies

• Excellent transport links from Herne Hill

• 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 2 with ASD and SEMH

• Assist with behaviour and emotional regulation

• Adapt classroom tasks and materials

• Promote positive engagement and independence

• Liaise with staff and track pupil progress

• Experience with ASD or SEMH - essential

• Calm, patient and positive attitude

• Strong communication and behaviour management

• Committed to inclusive learning

• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
