Health and Safety Manager

OverviewThe HandS department is expanding its services it provides to Workman LLP and Workman Facilities Management Limited. This is to include the creation of a HandS Manager position based in our London office to assist in maintaining compliance levels through various HandS management systems and on-site support services.
OBJECTIVETo provide support and assistance to the Firm in the day to day management of Health and Safety, covering regional area.
Responsibilities
Assist with the development, implementation and management of HandS policies and procedures throughout the Firm
Provide HandS advice and support to all operational employees including those based at properties under our management
Assist with the development and delivery of HandS training to employees
Provide assistance and support with use of the Firms web-enabled HandS databases and electronic management systems
Undertake site specific risk assessments/audits
Assist with maintaining the Firms ISO:45001 recording system
Respond to and investigate Health and Safety incidents, where necessary, including relevant escalations and liaison with external authorities
Engage with regular Health and Safety meetings
Engaging with clients where necessary
Undertake the role as appointed person for Fire Warden and First Aider for the regional office(s)
Keep up to date with industry best Health and Safety practices and to deliver recommendations relevant to new legislation
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in a HandS role within facilities and property management environments
HandS diploma and charted member of IOSH (CMIOSH)
Extensive knowledge in Fire Safety within the built environment
Relevant HandS/Fire qualifications and associated industry memberships
Full clean driving licence
Desirable
Prior knowledge of using web-enabled risk management systems
