We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our integrated Mental Health team at HMP Five Wells. HMP Five Wells is a category C resettlement prison based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, and houses around 1,687 patients. Within this role, you will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and will be supported by a second Psychiatrist who is also our national psychiatry lead.HoursThis position can be offered as either full time (5 days per week) or part time (2 or 3 days per week). Working hours are based on 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.SalaryYou will receive an annual salary up to £189,900 per annum FTE, depending on experience.How will we support you?You will be part of a team of 15+ experienced and supportive Consultant psychiatrists.You will be able to attend monthly Consultant meetings and 1:1 clinical supervision.Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course.Competency framework.Candidate requirements:Legal right to work in the UK is required. Provide excellent clinical care, assessment, and treatment to patients on the caseload onsite.Participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead senior mental health clinicians on service development, and provide clinical supervision.Work within the multidisciplinary team to review referrals, determine treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in complex case reviews.Qualifications required

Current GMC registration.Specialist Registration in General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry.Approved under section 12(2) of the MHS 1983.Understanding of multidisciplinary and multi-agency working.Up-to-date knowledge of adult psychiatry and PD.Awareness of current issues in mental health policy and legislation.Additional benefits
