DevOps Engineer

Overview
IntaPeople are proud to be supporting a well-established organisation who require an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their cross functional Software Development team.This role plays a key part in the delivery of high-quality products within the software/cloud development team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines and play a pivotal role in migration of current hosting to a full or hybrid cloud solution.Working as part of a wider team, you will collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and operations to streamline deployment and infrastructure management processes.Responsibilities (at glance)
Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormationDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipelineSupport and train technical staff in upskilling necessary for ongoing operationsMonitor and ensure system reliability, availability, and performance using tools like:CloudWatch, Prometheus, Icinga2, Grafana, and Datadog,Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using Docker and KubernetesManaging a Proxmox environment with linux based Docker hostsEssential Skills
Experience working as DevOps Engineer (3-5+ years min)Strong experience with CI/CD practices and toolsExperience Docker and Docker SwarmExperience working in a Proxmox virtualization environmentExperience working with tools such as Ansible GitHub Actions, JenkinsInfrastructure as Code methodologies using Terraform/ OpenTofu, CloudFormation, or similarLinux administration (Ubuntu/Debian)Bash /Powershell scriptingShould have/desirable skills
Travis CIMonitoring – Grafana, Icinga PrometheusRabbit MQ/AMQPWorking knowledge of security best practices in cloud environmentsAmazon Web Services (AWS): EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, IAM, ECS/EKS, LambdaKubernetesDBMS experience such as MySQL or PostgreSQLHaving experience with microservices architecture, Amazon Web Services, PHP and JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js would be highly desirable but not essential.Role overview at a glance
