We have an excellentopportunity for NDT VALIDATION CONSULTANTS to work on an ad-hoc basis supporting projects for our end client both in the UK and abroad. About the Projects: Ad-hoc NDT support within the Inspection Validation Centre (IVC) in Birchwood, Warrington. Supporting the IVCs Inspection Qualification projects for the end client, both in the UK and abroad (France, Spain and Germany). This work will bc across a 2 year period, but not full-time. Work will be booked with suitable notice in week blocks. Specific Tasks: Invigilation of Procedure Trials - Witnessing inspection vendors during the practical demonstration of the NDT equipment and procedures, using representative test pieces. Invigilation of Personnel Trials - Invigilation and marking of written examinations, Invigilation and marking of Ultrasonic data analysis exams using blind automated data. Fingerprinting IVC Test Pieces - Using advanced Ultrasonic techniques (PA / FMC) to create a digital fingerprint of a representative test piece. Production of procedures and reports. Candidate Requirements: Experienced in automated Ultrasonic Inspections. PCN Level 3 in UT, Level 2 will be considered. Knowledge of advanced UT techniques.
