Accounts Assistant Role

NC Associates are working exclusively with a long-established SME based in Liverpool City Centre to help recruit an Accounts Assistant. As an Accounts Assistant you will be working closely with the Finance Manager, this is a broad transactional role that covers both Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger duties along with supporting with Month/Year End and VAT returns.

Accounts Assistant Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable:

• Reconcile items to be invoiced using our in-house system
• Produce customer Invoices on Xero
• Credit Control, chasing outstanding debt
• Reconcile subcontractor invoices with services rendered
• Bank reconciliations

Purchase Ledger:

• Ensuring all in-house purchases are approved in line with procedures
• Post invoices to Xero
• Statement Reconciliations

Supporting the Finance Manager with:

• Month End Preparation and reports
• VAT returns
• Year- end reporting

 Accounts Assistant Experience Required

• Experience – 1-2 years min experience within an account’s role
• Someone who can work on there own and as part of a team
• Great attention to detail and communication skills
• Team Player, confident and articulate
• Good knowledge of Excel, Sage or Xero
