Senior Design EngineerStroodHybridDue to continued growth, we are currently looking for a senior design engineer to join our engineering team in Strood, one of our regional design offices. We also have an ICE Approved Training Scheme and will support you working towards professional qualification.Your ResponsibilitiesYou will:Prepare complex temporary works designs for Groundworks or Propping and jacking schemesChecking medium to high complexity designs and drawing in accordance with BS5975:2019Attend client meetings and carry out site visitsReview design briefs provided by the sales team through Launchpad and provide feedback if more information is requiredManaging your own workload and supporting the team leaders in achieving the collective goals of the teamIdentify training requirements and act as a mentor to Graduate Engineers, Design Engineering and TechniciansProvide technical training and guidance to members of the sales, engineering and operation teamsIdentify and lead continuous improvement projects as agreed by the Engineering DirectorAbout YouYou will have:A HND or degree in civil/structural engineeringAt least 5 years experience designing temporary worksThe ability to work in a fast paced and changing environmentExperience in designing Groundworks, Formwork and Falsework or ProppingGood understanding of CDM 2015Experience utilising AutoCAD 2D and/or REVITExperience training and mentoring junior members of the teamWe would also love it if you have:Experience of checking Groundworks, Formwork and Falsework or ProppingExperience working for a supplier or in a commercial environmentSome experience working on siteDesign of steel and concrete connectionsProfessional membership of ICEAs our next Senior Design Engineer, you’ll collaborate with sales and operations to support our customers through engineering excellence.If you would like to find out more information please click apply or contact
