Extended School Club Coordinator - Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

Contract Type: Temp-to-Perm (initial temporary placement via Spencer Clarke Group)
Working Hours: Before and After School (Wraparound Club Hours)
Pay: -16.20 per hour

Spencer Clarke Group are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in the Wirral area to recruit an Extended School Club Coordinator for a September 2025 start.
This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity - you''ll begin your journey through Spencer Clarke Group with the aim of securing a permanent position directly with the school (based on performance and fit).

You''ll take the lead in coordinating the school''s wraparound provision, managing the daily operations of the before and after school club to ensure children are cared for in a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. This is a practical, hands-on role that also involves day-to-day admin, team leadership, and safeguarding responsibilities.

  Lead the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities
• 
  Supervise and support playworkers, including managing rotas and cover
• 
  Ensure a safe and caring environment for all children
• 
  Communicate clearly with parents, staff, and outside agencies
• 
  Manage resources, refreshments, and hygiene standards
• 
  Administer basic first aid and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed
• 
  Conduct site checks, submit maintenance reports, and manage risk assessments
• 
  Use the IPAL booking system to manage registers, bookings, and payments

• 
  Experience working with children in an education or childcare setting
• 
  Strong organisational skills and the ability to lead a small team
• 
  Working knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and wraparound care standards
• 
  Confident communicator with a proactive and professional approach
• 
  Comfortable using online systems and handling parent communication

• 
  Level 3 qualification in Playwork, Childcare, or equivalent
• 
  Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, and Safeguarding training
• 
  Experience using the IPAL system (training available if not)

  Weekly pay through Spencer Clarke Group during your temp phase
• 
  Full support from a dedicated consultant with education experience
• 
  Genuine route to a permanent school-based role
