SEN Teaching Assistant - Ealing
Full-Time | Septmember Start | Long-Term Role | Team Teach Training Provided

Timeplan Education is currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in an SEN school based in Ealing.

As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils with a range of SEN needs, supporting them either one-on-one or in small group settings throughout the school day. You''ll be part of a collaborative team that includes the SENCO, senior leaders, and external professionals such as therapists, healthcare workers, and CAMHS. You''ll also play a key role in helping pupils manage their behaviour, engage in learning activities, and thrive socially and emotionally.

This SEN school in Croydon is known for its inclusive ethos, well-structured environment, and supportive senior leadership team (SLT).

Job Responsibilities

  • Support students with a variety of learning difficulties and additional needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver personalised learning support.
  • Help manage challenging behaviours using effective strategies (full training provided).
  • Provide personal care support when required.
  • Supervise students during lessons, breaks, and transitions.

Job Requirements

  • Experience supporting children or young adults with SEND is desirable but not essential.
  • Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach.
  • Proactive and confident behaviour management skills.
  • A valid, enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Availability to work Monday-Friday and commit for at least 2-6 months.
