Sealing Project EngineerLocation: West MidlandsContract: 6 MonthsIR35 Status: Inside IR35Working Arrangement: On SiteAn exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Sealing Project Engineer to join a forward thinking automotive engineering environment supporting the development of next generation vehicle body systems and closures.The successful candidate will join a specialist Body Engineering team responsible for the design and development of vehicle sealing systems, closures, glazing and body components. This role will involve taking ownership of sealing commodities from concept through to launch while ensuring delivery against quality, cost and timing targets.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the delivery of sealing commodities across vehicle programmesCreate and manage engineering releases and technical documentationDefine and deliver system and component performance targetsDrive DFMEA, lessons learned and failure prevention activitiesLead cross functional design and assembly reviewsWork closely with manufacturing, programme and supplier teams to ensure engineering feasibilitySupport virtual and physical build activities from issue identification through to resolutionManage CAD workload and interface coordination across internal and external teamsDevelop engineering documentation to support purchasing and supplier quotation activitiesLead root cause analysis and resolution of complex engineering issuesSupport development of rigs and validation activities for Failure Mode ..... full job details .....
