Clinical Support Worker - Glynde Ward - EDGH

Overview
Glynde Ward is a busy, acute 30 bedded Ward Acute General Medicine with a multidisciplinary team approach. We are looking for experienced Clinical Support Workers. Hospital experience is desirable but not essential. A minimum of GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths, Care Certificate and/or NVQ2 in health and social care or the equivalent role. Training will be provided. Successful applicants will complete an Induction course including Trust statutory/mandatory training.Responsibilities
Provide delegated clinical procedures such as insertion/removal of cannula, venepuncture, wound assessment and simple dressings.Removal of urinary catheter where appropriate.Work as part of a multidisciplinary team; use initiative and maintain effective interpersonal and communication skills.Contribute to high standards of patient care and participate in professional development and clinical supervision.Qualifications and Experience
Essential
GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/MathsCare CertificateRelevant experience in health or social care delivering personal careDesirable
5 GCSEs grade 4/C or above or equivalentEvidence of mandatory/training in Basic Life Support, manual handling, infection control, fire safetyEducation/training to NVQ level 3 or work-based diploma or equivalentRelevant NHS experienceSkills
