offices as Principal Consultant (internal title - Technical Lead).

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary individual to spearhead and expand our team of dedicated air quality professionals.. As part of this role, you will be responsible for providing holistic consulting services, working collaboratively and seamlessly with experts from other environmental and climatic disciplines within RWDI.

The role includes but is not limited to:

Leading and managing some of the larger projects within the teamPlanning and coordinating technical aspects of projects mainly in the United KingdomSupervising and assigning data collection, modelling, post-processing, analysis, interpretation, and documentation of technical resultsConsulting with and answering technical questions from colleagues, project managers, and clientsWriting ES Chapters and technical reports;Assisting with the preparation of proposals, marketing materials and/or technical papersTaking a lead technical role in internal and external project teams to ensure technical excellence and quality of analysis and reportingProviding technical leadership to improve technical capability and capacityAssisting in business development initiatives to support the air quality teamContributing to RWDI''s global air quality practice initiatives and strategies, and sharing experiences and knowledge with internationally based colleaguesMonitoring, supporting and addressing performance of team members by conducting regular check-ins and performance reviewsMentorship of our Air Quality team members to support their developmentWe are accepting applications from candidates with the following experience :

Bachelor''s degree, in applicable engineering or science disciplines.Full understanding of the current regulatory/planning framework/technical guidance in the United Kingdom for air quality assessmentsDeep knowledge of air quality dispersion models (including ADMS-Roads, ADMS 6.0)Proficient use with GIS (QGIS)Thorough knowledge of a variety of engineering analytical tools, experience of ERP systems, and MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerpointProven ability to act as the technical liaison between internal project teams, external clients, and regulatorsAs a minimum, full Membership and active involvement in the IES and the IAQM, and affiliations with other professional institutions relevant for air quality. Should be working professionally at the highest levels and pushing the boundaries of advancement in this field.Candidates should also possess :

Excellent communication skillsStrong people and team skillsProven organisational capability, decision making and coordination skills while working on a number of projectsDemonstrated initiative, independent problem-solving methods/capabilitiesDemonstrated leadership/mentoring successAn eye for detail and an innate desire to get things rightPersistence to see a job through to conclusionAptitude for practical problem-solving and shrewd judgementDrive to continuously improve processes and enhance efficiencyAptitude for creating, and contributing to, technical innovationAbility to travel occasionallyFull, clean UK driving licenceExperience in the following areas would be considered an

asset :

Post-graduate degree or doctorate in subjects relevant to the roleExperience with AERMOD, CALPUFF and/or other air quality dispersion modelling systems.Experience in an expert witness capacityWhat we have to offer:
