The Best connection are recruiting for a class 2 driver to join a well established distribution centre in Sheffield.About the role:Each morning, you''ll receive your delivery sheet outlining the day''s 8-12 deliveries and collections, all within South Yorkshire. You''ll be operating a vehicle equipped with a tail lift and pump truck, so confidence using this equipment is essential.Your day-to-day will include:Loading and Unloading Pallets using tail lift and pump truckCarrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any faultsSecuring your load safely and in line with regulationsReporting any issues with deliveries, collections, or the vehicleMaintaining clear communication with the transport office throughout the dayProviding excellent customer service at every stopAdapting on the job - e.g. adjusting to blocked delivery bays or tight access areasOrganising collections to ensure your vehicle stays accessible for ongoing stopsReturning all paperwork and vehicle keys at the end of each shiftManaging your route timings to ensure efficiency and customer satisfactionWhat We''re Looking For:Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) LicenceDriver CPC and Digital Tachograph CardPrevious experience in multi-drop delivery (preferred)Confident using a tail lift and pump truckStrong communication skills and a proactive attitudeAbility to work independently while being part of a supportive teamA focus on safety, customer service, and time managementWhy Join Us?Consistent local work - no long hauls, ..... full job details .....
