Supply Desk is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Hemel Hempstead. This full-time position is available from September and offers an excellent opportunity to inspire and engage students in the study of English Language and Literature.

Job Description:

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, following the National Curriculum.
• Differentiate teaching to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with SEND and EAL.
• Develop engaging schemes of work that motivate students and promote independent learning.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
• Maintain excellent classroom management, encouraging positive behaviour and a productive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to departmental development.
• Engage with parents and carers to support student progress and wellbeing.
• Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development activities.

Our Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Have experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 andamp; KS4).
• Be passionate about English and able to inspire students with creative and effective teaching methods.
• Have strong classroom management skills and a student-centred approach.
• Be confident in using assessment data to inform teaching and improve outcomes.
• Possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Be proactive, flexible, and collaborative, with a commitment to professional growth.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a clear Enhanced DBS check.
