We''re looking for an experienced Head of Planning to join our NRNN team. In this role, you''ll be responsible for developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with the Contract Planning standard. You will have overall management responsibility for contract programmes within the division, ensuring they are robust, can dynamically respond to change, and align with contract requirements. The Head of Planning is part of the Business Excellence team focused on implementing a structured framework and approach to achieving industry-leading business performance. Your day-to-day will include:Developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with the Contract Planning standard on all appropriate contracts and projects, including all associated templates, forms, and systems.Carrying out peer reviews of both tender programmes and contract programmes.Attending progress, optioneering, value engineering, or risk workshops at the project level as required.Working closely with the Project Controls team to monitor programme and planning performance within the division, identify trends, and develop strategies to exploit or mitigate these trends, supporting implementation as needed.Leading the allocation of contract planning resources across the business unit, ensuring planners have the capacity, capability, and competency.Bringing experience from a similar planning role or readiness to advance in your career.Possessing strong project management skills, including leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.Having excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset to address complex integration challenges.Experience in training users and providing technical support.Making Kier a diverse and inclusive place to work is a priority.
