Senior Planner - High-Profile West End Development

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Planner to join a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor on a flagship mixed-use development in London''s West End.

The Project

You will be working on a high-value, prime mixed-use scheme in a prestigious central London location, delivering a combination of:

• Luxury retail space across lower levels
• High-spec office accommodation above
• A technically complex multi-level basement
• Architecturally sensitive design within a constrained urban environment

This project presents significant challenges including restricted logistics, phased construction, and intricate sequencing, making it ideal for a planner looking to work on a standout scheme.

The Role

As Senior Planner, you will take a key role in both project delivery and pre-construction, working closely with site, commercial, and design teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and managing detailed construction programmes
• Monitoring site progress and reporting against key milestones
• Leading planning strategy for complex construction elements, including basement works and structural sequencing
• Supporting logistics and programme optimisation in a constrained city-centre environment
• Producing tender programmes and contributing to client presentations, including 4D planning
• Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies

About You

• Proven experience as a Senior Planner or experienced Planner within a main contractor environment
• Strong track record delivering complex projects in London or similar urban settings
• Experience with basements, cut & carve, or high-end commercial schemes is advantageous
• Proficient in planning software such as Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with project stakeholder
