Personal Care Assistant
A post has become available to join a small team to offer round the clock care in a young man''s home who has Cerebral Palsy. We are looking for someone who has either 2 years experience of working in care and or a qualfication in Health and Social Care. We have either a full or part time post available and would discuss the hours during interview. You must be able to commit to a variable shift pattern throughout the week that may include split shifts, afternoon shifts, waking night shifts. full day shifts over the weekend and during College holidays. We are looking for someone who has a good sense of humour, who is able to engage our son so he participates in his life as fully as possible. You must be able to work to the care plan that is in place, and have clear communication skills both written and verbal. You must also be able to adapt to the medical needs of our son. Duties would include: Providing a high level of personal care Preparing and giving medication monitoring and acting on the health needs of the young adult. To engage and stimulate him with appropriate activities. To work in a small team. To drive the young person to and from college To work alongside the family . To offer a high level of person centre care. Providing food via his Gastrostomy. We will offer the right person. All expenses and training for A indepth induction and probationary period.
