On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Java Developer on an initial 12-month contract. In this role, you will be involved in the design and development of new and evolving software tools and architectures, as well as their implementation for future products.Role: Java Developer Pay: 65 per hour Via Umbrella Location: Bristol Contract: Monday - Friday 37 hours per week, 12 months contract IR35 Status: Inside Security Clearance: Security Clearance required to startResponsibilities Designed and developed software tools and architectures for next-generation Air Defence Systems.Built robust applications in Java, with awareness of system-wide impact.Worked across the full software lifecycle, from requirements to integration and testing.Collaborated effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.Contributed to safety-critical systems following standards such as DO-178C, DefStan 00-55, and IEC 61508.Applied knowledge of Ada, DDS middleware, and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
