Carmichael UK are working with a Tier 1 client on the HS2 project, recruiting for a skilled Section Engineer with strong structures experience to join their team delivering a high-profile package of works in Buckinghamshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to one of the UK’s largest and most complex infrastructure projects — taking ownership of structural elements

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise structural works from setting out to quality handover
• Produce and brief Method Statements, ITPs, and Task Briefs
• Coordinate temporary works and interface with TWC
• Raise technical queries and interface with design teams
• Maintain detailed site records and produce as-built documentation
• Monitor subcontractor progress and compliance with specification
• Drive safety, quality and environmental performance on site
• Support Sub Agents and mentor Site Engineers

Requirements:

• Civil Engineering degree or equivalent
• Strong experience delivering structures on infrastructure projects
• Solid understanding of RC detailing, rebar, formwork, and concrete pours
• Familiarity with H&S standards, and QA procedures
• SMSTS, CSCS, and Temporary Works awareness preferred
• Previous experience on major projects desirable
