Learning Support Assistant - Full-Time - Long-Term - September Start - St. Helens

Are you an experienced or aspiring Learning Support Assistant (LSA) looking for a rewarding long-term role in a vibrant St. Helens secondary school?

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive school in St. Helens to recruit a full-time LSA starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and make a real difference in the lives of young learners.

Our client school is a large 11-18 mixed comprehensive with over 1800 students on roll. Our client school values everyone equally, regardless of background or experience. The Role:

• Supporting students aged 11-16 with additional learning needs
• Delivering 1:1 support and small group interventions in and out of the classroom
• Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other LSAs to implement EHCP strategies
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Assisting with academic progress, social development and pastoral care

What We''re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA, youth worker, or care worker is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of SEN including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, patient, and empathetic attitude
• A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification is advantageous but not essential
