An opportunity has arisen within this growing Coventry based manufacturer of products into the automotive and engineering industries for a Production Operative to join its technical team. THE ROLE It is the role of Production Operative to ensure that tools and ancillary production equipment are delivered to and installed within the manufacturing cells and are prepared to a standard which will allow optimum performance in terms of both quality and productivity. Responsibilities include: Prepare production equipment, efficiently and effectively and that they are available. To develop and reduce tooling change techniques, aiding in the increased utilization of production equipment. Support the shopfloor in terms of tooling development To identify and report any tooling deterioration or damage to the Technical Engineers. To catalogue and develop the storage of tooling and production equipment. THE PERSON In order to succeed in the role of Production Operative you will need a mechanical aptitude along with an understanding of tools etc. You will need to be a practical person with experience of working within an engineering/production environment.
