The Role

As an Employability Tutor, you will deliver engaging, learner-centred sessions across employability and vocational programmes. You will work with adult learners from diverse backgrounds, delivering both classroom-based and 1:1 support, guiding them from initial assessment through to achievement and progression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver employability and vocational training in areas such as Customer Service, Business Administration, and Adult Social Care

• Embed Maths, English, digital skills, and workplace behaviours into sessions

• Support learners to achieve accredited qualifications and positive progression outcomes

• Provide coaching and mentoring to help learners overcome personal and professional barriers

• Set, review, and track SMART targets to ensure consistent learner progress

• Maintain accurate documentation and update learner management systems

• Ensure delivery aligns with safeguarding, Ofsted, funding, and quality assurance requirements

• Create an inclusive, engaging, and motivating learning environment

About You

You are a motivated and learner-focused professional who combines teaching expertise with empathy and high expectations.

Essential:

• Level 3 (or above) teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, or equivalent)

• Experience delivering employability, functional skills, or vocational training

• A genuine passion for supporting adults into employment

• Ability to adapt delivery to meet diverse learner needs

• Strong organisational skills and confidence managing a caseload

• Good IT skills and experience using learner management or CRM systems

Desirable:

• IAG qualification or experience providing Information, Advice and Guidance

• Experience delivering training within warehouse, logistics, or other vocational sectors

• Knowledge of funded Employability or Adult Skills programmes
