Job Title: Breakdown and Recovery Team MemberLocation: Hoo Junction Salary: 27,715 per yearJob Type: Full Time, Permanent.DB Cargo UK are currently recruiting for a Team Member to join our Breakdown and Recovery department based at our site at Hoo Junction, with the role being responsible for assisting the Breakdown and Recovery team when dealing with derailments or incidents on the UK rail network.Breakdown and Recovery is a national service, providing safe ad efficient restoration of normal running conditions on the rail network following an incident. As a Breakdown and Recovery Team member you''ll be working to the instruction of the Breakdown and Recovery Supervisor at all times.This position is based at Hoo Junction, however due to this being a national service, you may be required to travel around the UK as and when required.What will you be doing?Support the supervisor and team in restoring rail services safely and efficiently following incidents.Create a safe working environment in the depot and when on siteManual handling of packing materials and jacking equipmentUndertake cutting/welding tasks as competence permitsCarry out maintenance in the depot to ensure that equipment is safe and stored correctlyProactively use depot time to maintain equipment and develop skills and support the wider team.The Breakdown and Recovery Teams are required to work shifts covering a 24/7 period including bank holidays, weekends and nights.This position is 42 hours per week.What are ..... full job details .....
