36 hours per week (including an average of 12.5 hours per week of nursing shifts)An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Deputy Manager to join a 20-bed purpose-built nursing service located in Johnstown, just outside Carmarthen. This service provides tailored care for individuals with physical disabilities and complex health conditions. The facility includes two floors with accessible bedrooms, communal lounges, hydro bubble baths, a sensory and activities room, and physiotherapy support.As Clinical Deputy Manager, you will report to the Registered Manager and play a key role in the clinical coordination and operational support of the service. You will help lead a dedicated team to deliver person-centred care with a focus on wellbeing, independence, and dignity. This is a hands-on leadership role that includes working closely with GPs, external professionals, and the wider community to support residents in leading fulfilling lives.Main ResponsibilitiesAssist the Registered Manager with service leadership and care quality oversightLead the nursing team to provide safe, person-centred care promoting dignity, independence, and equalityEnsure adherence to all relevant regulatory and legislative standardsMaintain high standards of infection prevention and control through leadership and regular auditsLiaise with external health professionals to manage admissions, discharges, and ongoing care needsProvide clinical supervision and mentorship across the nursing teamSupport recruitment, onboarding, supervision, and appraisal processes for new and existing staffEnsure complaints and concerns are managed effectively and within required timescalesProvide strong leadership in the absence of the Registered Manager, escalating key issues appropriatelyDrive a positive workplace culture and support employee engagement initiativesWhat We’re Looking ForRegistered Nurse with a valid NMC Pin (essential)Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or Senior NurseExperience supporting individuals with physical disabilitiesStrong knowledge of person-centred care planning and deliveryExcellent leadership, communication, and clinical mentoring skillsCommitment to delivering the highest standards of care and promoting residents’ wellbeingBenefits35 days annual leaveEnhanced pay for bank holidaysPaid NMC registration and support with revalidationIndividualised professional development programmesTraining voucher allowance of £350 to support your PDPRegular clinical supervision and participation in regional nurse forumsCompany maternity pay (subject to qualifying period)Refer-a-Friend bonus scheme (up to £1,000)Discounts on retail, leisure, holidays, and travelPaid DBS checkParticipation in an employee ownership trust, with previous bonus distributions of over £1,850 per employee
