It’s big-scale stuff, and we’re still growing.TEAMThe Procurement Team manages a significant proportion of the total easyJet external spend and revenue, which amounts to over £3 billion per annum, covering Customer, Operations including Engineering and Maintenance, Fuel and Ground Handling, Commercial, Business, Corporate, Finance, People, and IT functions.CATEGORY FOCUSAs a company with over £6 billion in annual revenue and billions worth of assets on our balance sheet, we need a Finance team that is deeply embedded within our organisation to keep us on track for further growth. As a Procurement Manager within the Operations Procurement team, your primary role revolves around services related to Ground Handling and Aircraft Appearance.You will support a dynamic portfolio, creating an exciting Procurement Category Plan. This journey involves analyzing spend data, conducting market analysis, developing engaging strategies for stakeholder and supplier engagement, leading tender processes, and designing templates for contracts and new requirements. All these efforts aim to maximize value for easyJet.Additionally, you will collaborate closely with colleagues, contributing to the driving force behind this category, providing unwavering procurement support, and playing a pivotal role in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) to align strategic partners with easyJet''s vision. This role is energised and purpose-driven, making you a key driver of our pursuit of excellence and innovation.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESDevelop and implement clear short, mid, and long-term strategies to drive value on the allocated category of spendInfluence a range of key internal stakeholders to support and buy into the chosen strategyBuild relationships across all levels with suppliers to leverage easyJet’s strategic importance, and negotiate charges that secure a competitive advantageIdentify appropriate sourcing through a balanced scorecard approach to meet easyJet’s requirementsManage the tender process, negotiations, and subsequent contracting for service/product provisionDrive continuous improvement within the supply base and deliver a pipeline of value engineering projects to reduce easyJet spendMonitor actual financial performance against plan, and investigate/explain variances appropriatelyWork closely with the Business Area to agree on clear service specifications to meet business requirementsSupport supplier relationship management policies to ensure consistent practices and develop supplier relationshipsKEY SKILLS REQUIREDStrong negotiator and influencerStrategic thinker: ability to understand market dynamics and create innovative solutions/category plansKeen Relationship Management: ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at various levels (including CEO)Ability to understand complex specifications and contract scopesAbility to analyze detailed financial and management informationAbility to review and markup contractsDisplays determination and drive, with a tenacity to deliver to the bottom lineThe ability to influence and challenge at a senior management levelExcellent problem-solving skillsEnd-to-end robust competitive tender process capabilityGround Handling and/or Airline procurement experience is advantageous but not mandatoryWhat you’ll get in returnCompetitive base salaryUp to 20% bonus25 days holidayBAYE, SAYE and Performance share schemes7% pensionLife AssuranceFlexible benefits packageExcellent staff travel benefitsLOCATION and HOURS OF WORKThis full-time role will be based in Luton (Hybrid/remote working options available) and will be 40 hours per week.ApplyComplete your application on our careers site.We encourage individuality, empower our people to seize the initiative, and never stop learning.
