Adult Community Mental Health Occupational TherapistWe are looking for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Adult Community Mental Health Hub team. The post holder will bring their diverse experiences, backgrounds and knowledge to support high quality care and to co-facilitate groups as part of the psychosocial Hub offer.

Location and hoursLocation: Uxbridge (a 10-minute walk from the Town Centre). Nearest stations: Uxbridge Underground (Piccadilly and Metropolitan Lines) or West Drayton Train Station. This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with an option to work up to two days per week remotely.

Responsibilities

Provide OT assessments and intervention for service users under the care of the team, in healthcare environments and people’s homes.

Provide functional assessments and home assessments for prescribing adapted equipment, making recommendations and for accommodation needs.

Provide evidence-based group interventions.

Manage a caseload and be an allocated Named Worker autonomously.

Work within the multidisciplinary team and support the overall functioning of the team.

Develop and co-facilitate groups as part of the psychosocial Hub offer.

Training and developmentThe team offers a friendly welcome and full induction, including shadowing opportunities and visits to services. We invest in Band 5 development through robust supervision, a preceptorship programme and internal training. Success at preceptorship enables further training to become an educator for OT students. Career development opportunities are available, with many Band 5s progressing to senior posts.
