The BIM Coordinator will manage, produce, and maintain federated BIM models throughout design and construction stages. Acting as the link between design teams, site personnel, and the BIM Manager, you will ensure models meet Exchange Information Requirements (EIR), BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and ISO 19650 standards.Reporting to the BIM Manager, this role plays a critical part in delivering world-class projects.What You’ll Do
Develop, federate, and maintain discipline-specific BIM models in line with ISO 19650 workflows and project BEPs.
Coordinate multi-disciplinary models, resolve clashes using Navisworks/ACC, and participate in coordination meetings.
Generate detailed MandE installation drawings, including layouts, riser diagrams, and builder’s work opes.
Validate models through QA/QC checks and assist in developing as-built models and COBie handover data.
Collaborate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless coordination.
Support site teams with BIM queries and integrate field validation data (e.g., laser scans, OpenSpace).
Maintain compliance with naming conventions and metadata structures.
Manage drawing production workflows, trackers, and schedules.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal BIM strategy development.
Stay current with emerging BIM tools and project-specific platforms.
What We’re Looking For
Education and ExperienceDegree or trade background in MandE (preferred).
3–5 years’ experience as a BIM Coordinator on medium to large-scale projects (MandE sector preferred).
Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 and CDE platforms (Autodesk BIM 360/ACC, Procore).
Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD; knowledge of Plant 3D or CADworx is a plus.
Experience with fabrication packages (e.g., Fabrication Parts, StabiCAD) advantageous.
Core SkillsStrong federated modelling and clash detection skills.
Understanding of AIM, PIM, COBie deliverables.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Organised, proactive, and able to thrive in fast-paced environments.
