Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver dynamic, age-appropriate drama lessons that captivate and challenge students
- Confidently teach students of varying abilities, using strong differentiation techniques to support diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement imaginative lesson plans that foster creativity and critical thinking
- Inspire students to explore self-expression through performance and dramatic arts
- Lead and direct school productions and extracurricular drama initiatives
- Cultivate a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages artistic growth
Key Requirements:
- A degree in Drama, Theatre Arts, or a closely related discipline
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent preferred andmdash; however, ECTs and unqualified teachers with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
- Proven classroom experience with a strong understanding of effective teaching practices
- A genuine passion for the performing arts and the ability to inspire and engage young learners
- Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
- Hold a current enhanced DBS registered on the updates service, or be willing to obtain one prior to starting the role
